Healing (2/25/10) by Cheri

Thursday 2/25/10: Faith: While a great amount of faith is not required for God to heal, it certainly can't hurt. With faith Jesus tells us that "Nothing will be impossible for you." I think faith comes from the acknowledgment of who God is, what he can do, what He has done and believing he can do the same for you and others! Am I always the best at this? Oh no, lol, that is why I love being reminded of these things! I think God knew that we would have a hard with this one, just look in your concordance and you will see just how much it was brought up. Here are just a few of those scriptures about faith. What I love about these stories (Matthew 9: 18-26, 27-33; Mark 2:1-12, 4:35-41) is that they came or someone came on their behalf to Jesus, that to me implies their faith in Him. They did not say "it's too much to deal with" or try to run from it, but in that moment they were desperate for change and saw he was the answer. Also, I love how God invited Peter and Abraham (Matthew 14:22-34; Romans 4: 18-25) to have faith in him, to believe he would do what he said he would do.
Today, go to God knowing and believing in him and what he can do. Respond to that still small voice calling you to have faith in him. May you have faith like the people in the stories to lay everything at his feet to be healed. Pray God's faithfulness over your list you made yesterday and have faith that he has heard your prayers and is doing a great work!

“when he said "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." Matthew 17:19
